Alison Ross Photography
We all see the world differently - that is part of what makes us unique and the world fascinating.
Influenced by the Japanese aesthetic of WabiSabi, my photographic images tend to focus on natural abstracts. My images offer a different way of seeing everyday things, examining small details that emerge when the purpose or usefulness of things is past and
nature begins to reclaim her own. This natural aging process creates a world of colour, form and beauty that constantly
evolves under the hands of wind, water, heat and time.
(Most of my images are taken with a smart phone and remain largely unedited.
My early collections have been edited to overlay the images with poetry I write during my wanderings in nature.)
