5th Annual Poetry Competition

Journey

I have passed this way before,

in a time other than now.

Call it soul memory, if you will,

but it is there.

A familiarity with places

I have never been before,

the press on my heart

when I see a mirrored reflection,

in steps I take

on a shell-scattered beach.

I know not when, or how,

but I know this place as home.
