Aspects Festival 2016

Each day

is a new chapter

of the story of my life,

coloured with seasons

and painted with dreams

(Alison 2016)

2016 was the first year I took part in the Ards and North Down Borough Council's "Aspects Festival". This inspiring and educational week focuses on poetry and creative writing. In addition to experiencing some really amazing readings and workshops, I was delighted when one of my pieces was chosen for the  Festival's "Now and Then" exhibition at the Blackberry Path Gallery. This gallery is an amazing space, managed by Amy and Paul Wyatt-Rafferty, it extends over three floors and is filled with inspiring poetry and art - such a welcoming

and busy space .

Following on from the festival exhibition, I was also invited to take part in a second exhibition in the gallery, simply entitled "50". After the memories of this year and the new experiences they brought, I can't wait to see what the 2017 Aspects Festival brings!!
